Plowing Bids Wanted: Request for Bids for Snow Plowing Services (Elementary School)   Project Overview The Town of Charlotte is seeking bids for snow plowing services for the elementary school parking lot (1006 Ayers Junction Rd in Charlotte). This service will cover the period until a lease tenant assumes responsibility for plowing, anticipated in the near future. Bidders should consider this a short-term, as-needed contract and not for the full winter season.   Scope of Work The contractor will be responsible for:         1.   Snow Plowing: Clearing the parking lot of snow to ensure safe access and usability during snowfall events.       2.   Ice Control: Application of sand or salt to manage ice as needed.       3.   Clearance of Entrances and Exits: Ensuring all access points are cleared of snow and ice.       4.   Responsive Service: Timely plowing services after each snowfall event.   Service Duration The contract will remain in effect until such time as a property lease is finalized and a tenant assumes responsibility for plowing services. Bidders should anticipate a flexible end date.   Bid Requirements Bidders must provide:         1.   Cost Estimate: Specify a rate per plowing event or an hourly rate, based on your preference.       2.   Availability: Confirmation of availability to respond promptly to each snowfall event.       3.   Insurance: Proof of $1 million in general liability insurance and worker’s compensation coverage.       4.   References: A list of previous clients for similar snow plowing services, preferably for municipalities or commercial properties.       5.   Equipment: A description of the equipment that will be used to perform the services.   Submission Instructions Please submit your bid by November 11, including all required documents and a signed cover letter acknowledging your understanding of the temporary nature of this contract.
